FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is your withdrawal policy?

We require written notification via email by the 25th of each month BEFORE the monthly installment is due to withdraw from Gravity Dance. Please email us to withdraw from your class(es). We will terminate your monthly installment, or, if a full year was paid, we will refund the remaining installments minus 30%. If you choose to withdraw in the middle of a month, no refund will be given for any unattended classes. This withdrawal policy remains in effect even if we have a shelter in place mandate from federal, state or local government.

  • When do you have performances?

We will hold Winter Wonderland show(s) in January and Spring Spectacular show(s) at the end of the season in May featuring all Gravity dancers! This is an exciting and rewarding part of the season that everyone looks forward to. In addition, our performance dancers will participate in a Halloween show in October and a community performance in March/April so you can see their progress in class.

  • Is there a recital fee?

Tickets for spectators will need to be purchased for each show/recital.

In addition, a $35 end of season show fee will be due on March 15th for all dancers in a full season class. This fee helps cover the costs associated with planning the production and includes a special year-end gift for the dancers as well as a show t-shirt.

Information regarding all performances is sent via email at least one month prior to the show.

  • What other costs may be incurred throughout the season?

We feel it's important to be as upfront as possible regarding costs that may come up throughout the season so that you can plan accordingly!

In addition to your monthly tuition, the following costs will be billed to your card on file on the following dates:

    Performance Costume Fees:

    • Performance Dancers - November 15 •  see class schedule for specific costs for each class

    Year-End Recital Fee:

    • March 15: Year end show fee of $35 due for all full season  dancers participating in the year end show.

    Other costs to plan for:

•Custom Gravity Dance gear available to purchase throughout the season (optional)

•Shoes & tights which are not included in the costume fee

•Class pictures taken in the spring (optional to purchase)

  • Do you offer a discount for paying the full season upfront?

If you opt to pay the entire season in full prior September 30, you will receive a 5% discount on your class fees.

*Please note: If you pay your dancer’s tuition for the full year and then withdraw from classes for any reason (loss of interest, school obligations, injury, illness, etc) a 30% penalty will be applied to your refund for the remainder of the year. We suggest you only pay for the full year if you are 100% confident your dancer will participate fully in the entire season.
