Acro

Acro dance is becoming increasingly popular! Acro is a style of dance that combines classical dance technique with precision acrobatic elements. It is defined by its athletic character, its unique choreography, which seamlessly blends dance and acrobatics, and its use of acrobatics in a dance context.

Gravity Dance is proud to have two instructors who are certified through the world renowned curriculum: Acrobatic Arts. In addition, Brittney is also certified in the Acrobatic Arts preschool curriculum.

Dancers who are new to acro will begin in our beginner/introductory class and work their way through the curriculum. Dancers starting acro at Gravity with prior acro experience can test with an instructor to be placed into the level that best suits their skill level.

Dancers will be tested 3-4 times throughout the season to check in with the progress they are making. Dancers may move up into a higher level class as they pass levels.
